If it is a specific program then there help pages will be better than theses, if word opens slowly (assuming you meet the minimum requirements) then the microsoft pages will be your best bet, go to the help menu and about to find out your version, if its all programs and has been for a while then you may need an upgrade or possible a new computer would be cheaper than upgrading. Personally I hate throwing things out but it’s the cheapest option sometimes but there is always someone who can put to good use what you can’t so don’t throw it away if its still working or even if its not. Plenty of charity shops help others with the support of the community and your old computer could go for a few years more yet.
